Kalaikom - A new beginning

After years of existence, Kalaikom has finally started a blog.
But why? And why now?

Well, to be frank...we have no work ;) Our batch of Kalaikom (BIM 25) is about to sign off and the next batch is about to take over, so we thought why not do something to keep us busy, actually, an excuse to look back in time...to this moment..the moment that was, to keep the passion of Kalaikom invigorating our lives the way it used to.

Moreover, we also wanted a platform to showcase our talent outside BIM. We wanted the world to know what we are doing. Especially, our seniors who were a part of Kalaikom during their college days. They do have every right to know where their legacy has reached.

But if you are thinking that this blog is only about reporting the events that Kalaikom conducts....let me tell you that you're mistaken.

This blog is about anything and everything involving the cultural potpourri in BIM.

To start with let me tell you about what I feel right now and I speak for all BIMmites who've been here in my place. Exactly one year into the course, we find ourselves at a crossroad, we dont know what will happen next, where life will take us, but one thing is for sure...this time will never return...this fun will never return.

The feeling cannot be penned down in words any better than this...

Good Riddance - Green Day

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time

It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while.
